Jujube -Chinese Apple- Indian plum – ber – bor – kul whatever it is called. its still my favorite.
now we bongs love “ber chutney” or ” kul er chutney”. We get this special soft ber specially for making “kul er achar” or “kul er chatney”.
Now its hard to get those special berries everywhere. i dint see them in Bangalore markets yet. infact i searched for them in vegetable markets here but dint find them. i guess it will take some more time to get them.
now to satisfy m craving for kuler chutney. i made boro kuller chutney.
ber 500 grams
salt – pinch
water- 1/2 cupt
red chillis dry
oil – 1/2 tea spoon
1) cut ber and get rid of the seeds.
3) i made it sure that its a smooth paste with no chunks.
7) left to boil for 5 mins.
ber chutney is ready to eat with rice – paratha – roti – bread or just like that. hmm yummy!
