If we have got friends at our side encouraging us, we will have such an advantage over isolated and withdrawn patients or people who have to do that healing / recovery journey alone, as our friends can improve our overall mood and ability to cope with stress.

Some people enjoy a big group of buddies, while others prefer a one-on-one relationship in my case i need both. In fact, i have a couple of close comrades to whom i turn to for deeply personal conversations, and other friends who join me at the movies or celebrations.
