Music speaks to all of us. Be it an A R Rahman or Beethoven or Indian Classical music that does it for you. However different our tastes we all agree to the wonderful effect that music has on our lives. There is an anonymous quote which says “Music is how feelings sound like” and it is so true; whatever be our mood, there is some music that echoes our sentiment often reflects the sentiment better than we could ever hope to do.
Music pertaining to loud Classical Flute Melodies ,drum beats, sitar, guitar are extremely soothing and helpful for Stress Reduction. So were the flute music in place of soothing Mediterranean and Celtic Music.
I listen to Flute melodies while doing Yoga or walking.
i am brought up listening and learning indian classical, for me instrumental classical is almost trance. last couple of months I have been listening to Hariparasad Chaurasia extensively during early morning 6 am, today’s classical instument concert was like cherry on the top when i saw rakesh chaurasia (His son) perform live in front of me.
My only regret as a gal will remain is – it was a sudden plan to go and i dint get a chance to dress up… had to rush in whatever i was wearing since morning. DUUHH!
On the top of it I got a chance to engage in conversation with him and his band.
Heard the talented Sangeet Haldipur… mesmerizing experience. The constant drumming of Gino Banks. An experience for life time… looking forward of attending more concerts of the band in future.
