Today, as we all become more acquainted with the wisdoms of a holistic approach to health, tea has risen in prominence to become an integral part of health care programs and lifestyles.
Benefits of my cup of tea :
Tea is a great alternative for those seeking to make a switch to a lower caffeinated beverage either due to doctor’s orders or merely to seek more balance in life. Tea has 1/3rd (for black tea) to 1/5th (for green tea) the amount of caffeine content as coffee. In other words, in order to have the same caffeine as one cup of drip coffee, 3 cups of black tea or 5 cups of green tea would need to be sipped!
Tea contains many nutrients important to our bodies such as Vitamins A, B2, C, D, E and Folic Acid (B9); minerals such as Potassium, Calcium, Iron, Magnesium and Manganese.
Associated with an increase in metabolism, tea has been shown to be beneficial in helping the body to burn fat more efficie
Tea assists in keeping teeth and gums healthy. By containing natural fluoride and tannins tea helps to keep plaque at bay. Fluoride helps to protect teeth’s enamel from the acids that lead to tooth decay
And its time to be social ….
Offering a person a cup of tea is a universal sign of welcome in many countries around the world. So whether sharing a nice cup of tea with a new friend in a foreign country or whether enjoying a sip with an old friend during Afternoon Tea, tea brings people together. In India we offer tea but in our case we add milk to the tea but its advisable to drink tea as tea not as a milk drink.
Loose Tea – less packaging per serving than other beverages.
I made tea today out of tea leaves and it turned out to be yellowish green in color. The taste.. the texture and aroma of a tea leaves tea is very different from the packed preserved tea available in every store. We can grow a tea plant in a pot or in backyard… its easy to grow.
so have tea 🙂
