Its the hard-work of marketers, advertisers and branding experts , who have convinced us with posters, banners, ads,etc that we need specific clothes to do exercise. You need attitude and dedication to do exercise not fancy clothes
This was my face.
I replied, “I come from office and in office I wear Indian and western formals to office. As a result of which I will do yoga in either salwaar, jeans or in pants. There is no dress code for yoga, physiotherapy, pilates or hopes. Wear anything in which you will feel comfortable but it should not be silky or slippery. You can wear shorts, pants, suits, leggings, track pants, salwaars, patyalas, etc. If you are alone in room you can do yoga and other exercises naked also ”.
New to yoga?
Although you can easily find specialized branded yoga clothes, there really is no dress code for yoga. Wear clothes that relax you as large part of yoga is about relaxing your body and mind. Dress in whatever you feel comfortable wearing. You do not need to spend large amounts of money on yoga clothing. Of course, if you want to buy special clothes, then you should. Even that slight splurge might make your yoga more refreshing.
Ramdev baba does yoga in dhoti. Most Indian yogis , babajis and other yoga practitioners do yoga in normal day to day life clothes – nothing fancy
Important to remember:
We at revisediet, do yoga and other exercises to make you healthy, build your muscle strength and bring flexibility to your body. Weight loss and looking this is just an outcome of being healthy. So people who come with a target to reduce weight in X weeks (your weight will be reduced in X weeks with us) BUT your goal wont match with our goal. Our goal is to make people healthy and happy. is If you are new to yoga, the most important thing to remember going into your first class is that yoga is all about you and where you are on this one day – it’s your practice and your time. Yoga should not be forced, so don’t feel that you need to do every pose. You may rest at any point, take a drink or use the restroom whenever you need to. Only look to other yoga students for cues on how to move through the poses; don’t compare yourself to them. Again, this is your practice and honour the time that you have taken out of your busy life to build a better mind/body connection.
Stay healthy. Stay Happy.
