Bangalore –
A city where buildings are 3 times taller then coconut trees.
Where cold wind swings off the mini dresses and short hairs.
Where money has no service to value.
Where the localities are subtle and naive.
Where shine lures all and matte remains invisible.
Where finding a job is as difficult as finding a wife.
I am trying to find my breathe in the middle of all the voices, expenses and loud laughs!
In middle of all this – NOW i realize why people say you should marry in the same state or city ( as u know the language. the place. have resources. sources.etc). But then where is the fun?
Being from gujju land i find everything 3 times expensive. I find everyone in a race to spend. My mind and ears are always alert to listen and understand what my surroundings say in kannad. The fight of bargain always last and thanks to the years spend in gujarat – the sense of value to money is still alive in me.
Its 2 months married – with under employed – searching jobs – home alone all day —- i am left nothing to do but be online on talk and fb … hoping to find friends to talk every minute of the day. the tv sucks and so sucks the repeated cartoons, movies and tv series. Apparently i am not the saas- bahu series type so it adds up fire to the boredom.
So in this home alone introspective mode where i am left to blabber with myself alone all day. I realize i am not 100% healthy and i have slightly stiff back ( thanks to the 1 year bed rest because of Anterior cruciate ligament injury in right knee). I have time and all the time of the world.
So i decided. I will start a new journey. I have been cooking since the age of 14. I enjoy cooking. But i really dont know much about food value. food timings. eating habits. calories. proteins, etc.
I cook and it tastes really well, but it does up to the spicy indian eating food habit which is healthy and tasty but with no exercise and random stuffing the the happy belly.
SO i start yoga ( which i used to do but not regular.) and power yoga.
Trust me my whole body is in pain. thanks to the stretching and bending in power yoga.
I have changed my diet to – whole platter diet in mornings. followed by juices and cereals, broken wheat khichi in afternoons. chai in evening with home made snacks like roti poha, dhoka, etc. and my dinner routine is a failure as i end up eating pizzas, chicken biryani, pani puris, chats, etc.
so lets c where i lead with all this!
ooo
btw
yesterday i made creamy rajma- kali dal without cream, yogurt or milk.
trust me it was healthy and yummy.
